Film photography for me is a feeling of 90's childhood. If you could go back to playing in your yard, chasing the street lights before it was time to go home. The popsicle melting, the crazy daisy going wild.. and your memories being snapped away on your papa's camera or those little disposable ones you snagged in the check out of the grocery store. It's the nostalgia it brings in every photo that makes me so excited to develop roll after roll for my clients.

My brain is thinking of your story the whole time I'm photographing so that after your elopement or wedding day I can design a gorgeous fine art album for you to relive your day over and over again. The best part, you only have to do the fun stuff like picking a cover color, I do the heavy lifting!
With Joy too of course 😜 but I'm a triple-hybrid photographer who uses 35mm film, digital, and iPhone formats to give you a little bit of everything that feels like a 90's childhood mixed with all of our human emotions.
Personally, that isn't enough. You need someone who lives + breathes helping her clients. Sure we will write your timeline together, but I'm also going to get the permits, point you where you need to go, and then keep in constant communication so we're always on the same page.

Also -- I print some of your film into 4x6 prints and add them to your post-wedding box. This box will also include your USB drive back up of all your images.
Once I get the scans back I look over them for any minor editing, or adjustments and upload your scans to your online gallery.
Once I finish a roll of 35mm film I put it in it's case to be sent into my lab for processing. It can take 6-8 weeks for all your film to come back.

Printing is huge afterwards. Yes I will give you a USB with your digital back up, but I need you to have these images printed because you're a work of art. I'm going to prove it to you!
Personally your wedding isn't just one day. You have the full week of prep, to the night before, dinner, friends coming in to celebrate, and even the day after to adventure around. That's why my couples almost always choose multi day coverage. We want the full story!
My film work is meant to feel lived in, like your 90's childhood nostalgia. I want it to feel a little messy, a little chaos because as humans that's who we are -- we're not meant to be perfect. We're meant to find connection with each other.
Your gallery is going to be a full story of different kinds of images. With me I love being a fly on the wall, but I also will take control at times to direct you. I read the room though, don't worry.
Print them or add them to your custom wedding album that I create for you. We can sprinkle those into the album spreads, or even make a separate print book of just film prints for your coffee table.

From telling the whole story in a documentary way, to making sure you (+ your humans included) always feel taken care of that's my goal every time. Full 12 hours of coverage up to multiple days of coverage so I'm there at your welcome dinner to your post-wedding brunch. We're capturing everything.
My core JTP wedding package already includes film photography in it, but say you want a really heavy film coverage I will suggest you add on additional rolls. We can do that at any time, as long as I have enough time to order your extra film before your wedding day 😜.

I was born + corn fed in the heart of Iowa, but from the very beginning I have always been a hobbit in search of adventure. My passion for weddings started young too -- your flower girl kinda young. As I got older I never left the wedding world.. I just started directing the traffic at them and capturing all the photos. One of my favorite photos is a film photo of me dancing with my dad at my uncle's wedding reception. It's a memory I want my clients to have, too.
