Truly couldn’t wait to blog this family session because that’s one thing I love about my clients, it’s not just a wedding or an elopement, it’s year of milestones that you invite me back for. I have been photographing this couple (Ashley + Dan) since 2019 with their engagement session and now going into their family session here where they are about to welcome baby number two!

- Timing of your session depends on time of year, but sunset / sunrise is epic so you’re not squinting or sweating

Best time of year for Family Photos at Harkness Park
I’m a big fan of Spring + Summer sessions here due to the gardens being in bloom, and the later sunset times. Depending on if your session is on a week day or the weekend we can usually roam around Eolia Mansion (weekends are always booked for weddings and don’t want to be that person interrupting).
Summer is very busy but this park is huge and I never feel like I am on top of others while photographing because parks are just where New England families love to celebrate with each other.
When planning your session I will aim for golden hour so take the sunset time and calculate within 2 hours of sunset.
July: Session times 6:30-8:30 pm
