If you’re dreaming of dramatic mountain views, turquoise lakes, and quiet trails that feel a world away North Cascades National Park is your spot. It’s ideal for late summer or early fall elopements, especially if you’re craving an alpine backdrop that’s both wild and peaceful.
mount baker
Mt. Baker gives you panoramic mountain views without the crowds. From alpine meadows to hidden forest spots, this location offers variety, ease, and unreal photo ops. If you want a laid-back experience with jaw-dropping views, this is it.

Mount Rainier
Rainier is iconic for a reason: wildflower meadows, glacier views, alpine lakes, and that giant “holy crap, this is Washington” backdrop. I especially love Mount Rainier at sunrise or sunset, when the light softens and the mountain gets to be the main character. She is very much my summer girl, though. I tend to leave her alone in the winter.
olympic Peninsula
Moody skies, rocky beaches, and moss-draped forests—Washington’s Olympic coastline brings all the PNW drama. It’s perfect for couples who want something cinematic, quiet, and full of soul. Think barefoot vows, salty air, and photos that feel like a movie still.

You've probably got a few locations saved already, so let's talk about what actually makes them good for an elopement. These are some of my favorite ways to make the most of Washington's scenery without spending your entire wedding day driving or hiking.
lake crescent
This is where I'd want to finish your day. We can explore the mossy forest, get those gorgeous mountain and lake views, then hang out for sunset. And if you're staying at Lake Crescent Lodge, you're already home for the night. No extra driving required.

This is for the enormous mountain views. When the highway is open, we can get Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan in the background without hiking for hours. I'd leave time to wander a little instead of rushing through every viewpoint just because we can.

Less driving, more exploring. Two incredible spots beat five rushed ones.
To be a little kid again. Stare at the mountains. Watch the sky change colors. Take it all in without worrying about what's next.
Get a little variety. Mountains, mossy forests or the coast. We can mix things up without driving all over Washington.
Have a backup plan. Tides, mountain roads and unpredictable PNW weather get a say in our timeline.
Coffee breaks, good food and time to just hang out together. We're not spending your whole day driving to the next photo spot.
Ruby Beach
I want those fricken incredible pulled-back landscape photos here. Massive sea stacks, driftwood, maybe a misty morning or a ridiculous pink sunset. I'd normally lean toward evening, but if we're pairing it with Lake Crescent, I've got a different plan.

If you love that Mount Shuksan reflection, this is the spot. We can explore the short lakeside path, enjoy the mountain scenery and visit another nearby Heather Meadows viewpoint. I'd rather spend time getting beautiful photographs here than squeeze in another destination miles away.

Planning Your Washington Elopement
Are vendors included?
I’m your photographer, not a full vendor team. But I’ll send trusted recommendations for florals, hair and makeup, officiants, planners, food, lodging, and other good humans who fit your day.
When should we book our elopement?
Most couples book 6 to 12 months in advance, especially for summer and fall. If you’re planning sooner, still reach out. Sometimes calendar magic happens.
Do we need a permit?
Often, yes, especially for national parks, state parks, and certain public lands. I’ll point you in the right direction and help you understand what to ask for. Couples are responsible for applying when a permit is required.
What kind of photos do we get?
You’ll receive a mix of digital images, 35mm film, and iPhone BTS, depending on your package. Think artful landscapes, real emotion, tiny in-between moments, and photos that bring the whole day back.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We plan with flexibility. Rain, fog, snow, and wind are part of Washington’s personality, but I help build timelines and backup options so the day does not fall apart over a forecast.
