Elope in Acadia, you won’t regret these views.
This last fall I had the pleasure to capture an intimate, quite elopement in Acadia National Park.
Kylie + Jason wanted to get away from the stress, and people. Their main goal was to see the views and enjoy each other’s company.
She had hiking boots under her dress, and he had meat + cheese in their backpack. Let’s dive into their day.
Ocean views in Acadia
We took a quieter trail to hike up without as many people. It’s a smaller park and wanted to be left alone as much as we could.
One thing about picking a slightly harder trail is that there is less people on it just due to ease of use.
Also, time of day you go is huge for how many people will be there, and time of year.
For Kylie + Jason they enjoyed having their full wedding attire on and just taking a slow route up to stop and take in the views throughout their day.
Cliffside Elopement Ceremony
For there ceremony we chose a spot on the cliffs that overlooked the ocean + the coast line!
This spot had very few people on it by that time in the day, and it was perfect because no one interrupted their ceremony.
One of the best parts was hearing the ocean just slowly crash wave after wave, as background noise.
Bar Harbor Reception
After family photos on the beach we went back into Bar Harbor to say our goodbyes, and let them enjoy their private family dinner at Havana!
The fog was rolling in over the mountains as we waiting outside their restaurant. From the weather, people, and atmosphere I can’t picture anything else for them.
They also had a small cake that night to share with family from Celebration Cakes!
