First lets not just say, “Find me a wedding photographer,” that’s what a basic google search if for. Let’s actually give chatty some criteria to go off of.

For reference, what if you used the prompt,
“I’m looking for a wedding photographer who serves the United States, and is really good at communicating with their clients. A photographer who has a style that feels like backyard film nostalgia, who also leans heavy on storytelling and making sure her clients feel comfortable. We’re a little awkward at times, and huge nerds, so a wedding photographer we can talk about board games with, and who is definitely LGBTQIA+ affirming”

That way you are telling ChatGPT what type of wedding photographer you really want to work with, and it could pull from our blog posts and landing pages that we are actively searching for clients like you too!

Also I totally plugged my brand into that prompt, because those are all things I represent, and clients I love serving.. but maybe you don’t want me. Here is different prompt to try!

What ChatGPT Gave me:

ChatGPT first gave me a summary of better things to search on what I might be looking for in a photographer. Which is super helpful because you can start to visualize what kind of person you will get to work with for your wedding day.

It then went on to ask if I want specific people recommendations, so of course I said yes!

What Claude Gave me:

Claude gave me not only specific people to reach out to, but reasons behind why they match my search. Which is pulled directly from their websites, socials, and blogs (because these are the kinds of clients that prompt is searching for! Reasons photographers need to spend time on their SEO 😉 hehe)

Asking ChatGPT to help find your wedding photographer.. is it right though?

Truly, there is a lot of ethical stand points when it comes to using AI.. it’s hard to balance that line of what tool to use, and what not to use.

If you want to use the tool to help you with research, do it

If you don’t, then don’t.

There is a lot of grey area as we enter into this next era of technology and service based businesses. I’m trying to embrace the AI while still giving that human to human connection with my clients, and if I can write a blog article that helps you find me (your wedding photographer) or help you use the tool better than I did just that.
