Listen up, my dudes! Who says you can’t have a lush, over-the-top celebration with a guest list that only includes your nearest and dearest? My recent styled shoot, aptly titled the “Bright Retro Elopement,” is a bold, colorful foray into the world of micro weddings that goes against every misconception you’ve ever had about downsizing your big day.
What’s a Micro Wedding Anyway?
Micro weddings are intimate affairs typically hosting around 10-25 guests. But don’t mistake the term ‘micro’ for meaning minimal when it comes to details, décor, or emotion! These celebrations are jam-packed with personal touches and meaningful moments that radiate more brightness than a midsummer’s day – even if it’s about to downpour, as was the case in our shoot!
Why Go Micro?
There are lots of reasons to opt for a micro wedding: budget-friendly options, ease of planning, and more quality time with your guests, just to name a few. With fewer numbers, you also have greater flexibility in venue choices – imagine getting hitched in your favorite café, a cozy cabin, or even an art gallery.
Micro Planning, Mega Impact
Believe it or not, planning a micro wedding is pretty much the same as planning a large one, just on a smaller scale. You can still include all the things that matter to you, whether it’s luxe décor, grand floral arrangements, or custom invites. Our shoot’s planner, The Wedding Trailer, transformed our mood board dreams into a real-life fairy tale, and it was nothing short of magical!
Even If You’re a Fan of Traditions…
Who said you have to forgo tradition just because your guest list is shorter? If tossing the bouquet or an elaborate first dance are traditions you cherish, by all means, include them! Micro weddings give you the freedom to focus on what you truly value and want to experience on your big day.
