Legal & Permit Info
I am super passionate about leaving no trace and respecting the land I visit so this section is a non-negotiable for me. If you’re photographer doing research, make sure to get your insurance in order to get a permit for the beaches of Hawaii!
Otherwise for couples doing your research..
- Marriage License: Apply online, pick up in person on Maui. $60 fee.
- Permits: Any ceremony on public land requires a permit from the state. Wai’anapanapa and Haleakalā have their own systems—plan ahead.
- Pro tip: I help couples sort all this out when you book with me. No stress.
You can always do your marriage license in your home state too if you don’t want to do the paperwork during your elopement and have more a symbolic vows!
Here is all the info for getting your marriage license in Hawaii, you know I already did the research for you!
