A traditional wedding photographer might:
- Show up with a shot list
- Document 8 hours of getting-ready to dance floor
- Stick to a venue timeline created by a planner or coordinator
An elopement photographer (ahem, hi):
- Scouts locations and builds your timeline from scratch
- Advises on permits, weather, and what boots to bring
- Helps plan your whole day so it flows, not feels rushed
- Has a backup plan (or three) if the trailhead is flooded or the weather shifts
