Finding a queer inclusive elopement photographer shouldn’t be this fricken hard in 2026, but I want to make it known across my brand that you are safe with me. Hi, I’m Jamie Tobin and I’m a photographer who is here for my LGBTQIA+ humans who want to elope in Washington (or beyond big travel human here).
You deserve a photographer who celebrates you. Period.

I believe vendors who photograph love, connections, and passions of humans should be inclusive in the wedding industry. If you don’t support humans because they love differently than you, why are you here?
My footer, language, images, everywhere I can I want to show up as someone who is there for every kind of human. You’re not less than to me, you’re not a bucket list or portfolio shot. Your story is going to be told with fierce passion because you are a human who wants to be seen through my photography.
How to see if vendors are inclusive: Hint they won’t hide it
In no means is anyone perfect, but it is my belief that the people who show you exactly who they are the first time won’t hide their true feelings.
Inclusive language matters, because you feeling safe and seen in my work matters
If a vendor is still labeling contracts or contact forms as “bride” “groom” they haven’t done the work. Not all of us are marrying someone who applies to the label.
I would rather be a brand known for protecting and believing in all of my clients.
Respect, pronouns, and showing you who I am through actions
A few ways you can be more inclusive if you want to start analyzing is take a look at the language on your website.
I apologize, and mean it when I mess up. Because sometimes I get in my own head and slip up, but being genuine, and trying is truly all we ever ask for as humans.
My goal is to show clients before they even reach out, you’re safe here. I will respect how you want to be called, and how you want to love your partner(s).
Inclusive language I use in my daily life:
- Nearlywed / Newlywed
- Partner
- First names
- Correct pronouns (I default to they/them if I don’t know)
