Photographers Seattle Washington: Weddings & Elopements
My bread and butter is photographing weddings, elopements, and couples. I truly thrive in the adventure elopement world where I plan with my couples from locations, lodging, and permits.
I want my engaged couples to feel taken care of, seen, heard, and comfortable with me (and my camera). The best part is how many cool people I meet, from hair and makeup artists, to live painters, musicians – ah, truly I love the wedding industry.

Proposal Marriage sessions: How I Plan like an elopement for them
Proposals can sometimes be hard to plan, like how will I know it’s you, Jamie? I typically have a piece of clothing (like my yellow beanie) that I will tell you I’m wearing, so that fear solved!
When it comes to planning for a proposal session I want to ask how you want to approach it.
Will it be during an already planned family or milestone session?
(This we can do a cue to a posed prompt)
Do you want me to approach your partner and ask if you’d be willing to do a model session so they don’t think it was your idea to have a photographer?
(This makes it easy to plan with you, but also with your partner so you know when the best time to propose during the session)
Would you like me hidden away so they don’t know I’m there until after?
(This one can be the hardest since the goal isn’t to tip off your partner, but we can do all the logistic planning beforehand.)
All valid ways to propose, but require different levels of planning! When I am planning, no matter how you want to, I always do a full google doc with location scouting, ideas, and timeline so you feel fully prepared and only have to focus on proposing to your partner.

My approach to sessions: Mix of Messy with Guided Poses
While I love a traditional portrait, I need session galleries to have the in between, too.
That means fingers, toes, glances, blurry motion, landscapes, all of it to tell the current story we’re in.
If you’re leaning towards a, “come hang out at my house” as we do normal house things in the summer I’m always in. When I’m looking back at my own photo albums I remember my family by what they wore and did on the day to day, so why wouldn’t I want that documented for you (with you actually in it and not just behind the camera for once).
Session galleries with me will be a mix of looking at me, and guided poses, or true in the moment candids.
