I recently got an invitation to a new Vacation Home Rental near Rainier. This cabin sits in Ashford, Washington and is legit on the heels of Rainier National Park and the owners are determined to also provide an experience for their guests. (Which as an elopement photographer with the same values, I have to tell you about them!!)
And by experience I mean providing food with your rental. I even got a little taste, and trust me those pizzas with candied figs were the perfect blend of savory + sweet!!

Photography wise, I love Fjellsangin because..
It’s not overly rustic with that one bear pattern that comes with “rustic cabins” near the woods.
Okay I said it, but truly that rustic pattern is in almost every cabin you will find near mountain locations and it just is not the vibe most of us want in our elopement photos.
The design was so intentional in Fjellsangin. It’s clean and bright, and easily can adapt to a lot of photography styles. Plus if you want to use flash on rainy days you can easily bounce it off the ceiling.
Then I’m just a sucker for a sauna and outdoor shower. Think starting your stay off setting intentions with your partner, maybe just a goofing off together in the shower. You’re in nature, but it’s still private.
The upstairs bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, then imagine cuddling on the couch with the fire going as I was above you with a birdseye view over the loft!
When you can have your ceremony + eat your cake too
They are wedding friendly here!! They have a max guest count, but for intimate weddings, ceremonies, and a place to stay if you’re eloping in Rainier it’s perfect!
You could even do your ceremony here at the cabin (How perfect would the trees be for a backdrop?) then we could go do some amazing portraits in the park (to skip any extra hassle of a ceremony special use permit).
Timeline draft in my head:
Day 1: Check in & settle
You can check into the space, include the meal kits so you don’t even have to think about meal prep.
Day 2: Explore the park
You can get a little more adventure in, get a sneak peek at some of the elopement spots we scouted and planned, or take on a bonus spot
Day 3: Elopement day
You have a few extra guests come get ready with you (or just you two!)
Reading private vows on the porch with breakfast sitting on the table, fresh coffee from the drink bar inside
Day 4: Honeymoon Day
You sleep in, then head for the Sauna
Take an extra long outdoor shower then we head to your sunset location to watch the views for an adventure hike!
Let’s work together to plan your Rainier Elopement with this cozy home stay
