Hello Humans!
Happy Blog Tuesday! We are back in Iowa after our trip out East to photograph Vicki + Kyle’s Wedding! It was honestly a super fun weekend spent with old friends and of course Mark’s family!
We actually got engaged, too! I’ll be posting our own blog soon, but this one is all about Vicki + Kyle!!
Vicki is an old coworker of ours from our days at Simply Mac in Waterford, CT! We were generally always up to no good and spent our days at work (sometimes working) but other times playing crossy-road on the apple tv 🙂 hehe I can admit that now that we both no longer work there!

So! We met Vicki at her parents house in Norwich, CT where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids! Kyle’s sister Ashley was actually doing makeup for everyone, and just getting started on Vicki’s when we arrived! We also had Vicki’s sister Chelsey doing hair, and I am always a fan of big curly hair!

Weddings, let me tell ya, they are never on time so don’t waste a minute worrying if you are a little behind because we got you covered! We went from the parents house to Mohegan park where Kyle was able to see Vicki for the first time in her dress!! Grampa gave the girls a ride over to the park in style in the caddy! 🙂
Bride + Groom photos were a breeze, I mean all we did was laugh the whole time. We adore couples that are so, so in love!
The park made the perfect backdrop for portraits for not only Vicki + Kyle but the bridal party as well because of all the lilac! The vines, the greenery – it was kind of like falling into a Jane Austin novel!
The ceremony started a bit late but honestly the atmosphere was all that mattered! Everyone was there to celebrate the bride + groom and just enjoy the day! Plus the location of the ceremony was absolutely perfect because they were surrounded by all their loved ones.
We didn’t forget family photos! Never! 🙂
Heading into the reception we made sure to get Vicki’s train bustled and get ready to dance! Plus check out these cupcakes! I might have stolen one.. or two.. hehe!!
The rain held off and we ended up doing the first dance on the deck, which the water in the background and just had that backyard hang out sort of feel. Fun, carefree, and happy is exactly how we would describe their day!!
We can’t believe how fast the weekend went but so happy Vicki + Kyle chose us to document their day and brought us out to Connecticut!! We wish them nothing but the best!!
