Best Micro Wedding trends to try – heck ya! I live for the intimate moments, the personal, and smaller guest list weddings (aka micro weddings).

First let’s define micro wedding:
An intimate celebration that has a smaller scaled guest list but is full of love, personality, and luxury elements that mean the most to the couple.

Best Micro Wedding Trends in 2025

Floral: Free standing arches, whether DIY or florist made these full of color are showing up everywhere right now. The best part is you can move them from your ceremony to your reception and create a photo moment with them.

Decor: Colorful & fruity. Some people love the fruit trend as decor, some don’t but it helps that it is colorful and a lot of couples are ditching the black&white theme for personality infused moments.

Guest Books: Cowboy hats, polaroid albums, custom made magazine cover photo booths, or doing a rapid fire 5 minute photo with each table! What guest book idea do you want to try?

Flash Photography: It is still here, and personally I love it. Whether it’s the full lit reception or the fun party shots with the direct flash like your a celeb, it’s so fun to keep the party going well after the sun goes down.

Timeless Micro Wedding moments to include on your day

Just because the guest list is smaller doesn’t mean you have to totally skip on timeless wedding moments or make your entire day a trend.

Trendy things are FUN – do them! It helps add to your story, and years from now you’ll look back and giggle like oh my quads.. remember when…

But also timeless things are what you might have dreamed about as a kid, or dreamed about as you started planning with your partner.

Micro Wedding Venues in the Mountains

It’s no secret that a lot of my brand is about working with clients in the mountains. Whether those mountains are red rocks or northern snow peaks, I love being in the higher elevations.

If you’re a fan of a warmer mountain type you might want to consider something like Southern Utah or even Southern Colorado!

Micro Wedding Venues with a sweater weather climate:

1. Salted Roots – I have stayed here, and it’s seriously amazing to rent out the whole property but be able to keep yourself separate in your own cabin. Plus the views. UNREAL.
   
2. Gold Mountain Ranch in Colorado – Yeah the views alone.. amazing.
